nVidia Releases New 7800 GPU

It's that time again, on the pooper and lookin for something to read...
Video card maker nVidia announced on Tuesday evening at a LAN tournament / product announcement event at Fort Mason in San Francisco, a new GPU processor that claims to be double the speed of its previous flagship processor - the 6800... Current nVidia video cards have the ability to sport two cards in tandem for less load on one board, creating faster frame rates and smoother gameplay but results in higher cooling and power requirements... Newegg carries a few of the boards that support the new 7800 processor here including a BFG and a Gigabyte model starting at a mere $600... Now, I guess my only thought is... If you can afford to buy this card and have a decent 'top o da lline pc' to support it, you should kick your own ass and save me the trouble...

Dream On... Dream Yourself a Dream Come True

The last time that I upgraded my computer is when ddr system memory was released... Needless to say, I'm not running a dual core, a dual processor, dual channel, dual monitor, dual video card (sli), or 64 bit anything... Soooooo, I virtually put together a new computer on Newegg, revised it a thousand times, and I think it's finally done and ready to be purchased... Of course I don't have near the $2,000 that it requires, but a man can dream...

Woman Misunderstands Place In Society

Sad day for the United States Air Force this week, where the first woman has been allowed to join the world-famous Thunderbirds aircraft acrobatics team... I long for the times of old where women didn't have the right to vote, think, drive, speak their minds, or breathe without permission... Don't misunderstand that as opposition for women in the military... There are plenty of open jobs for cooks, janitors, and pole dancers...

The Erf Done Quaketh

I don't know about you, but when the ground shakes, I piss myself... The most stable thing on this planet, THE EARTH, does this thing where it violently vibrates at completely random intervals... It causes everything around you to fall down, women and children to scream in horror, people clamoring for something temporarily more stable than the ground itself, and girls looking to score before they die...
With the exception of all the sex after a life-threatening moment, earthquakes are definately one natural disaster this man can do without... Which is exactly why it freaks me out that we had 2 in the past week... Apparently Alaska and South America had one as well... Why can't all the fucked up places have natural disasters to wipe out all the asswipes?.. I could sure do without France, the Middle East, Mexico, and Africa...

Orwell Livin' Large Man

Funny shit over there in China this week, where it has been discovered that certain words are being blocked from personal blog titles... Attempts to input words in Chinese such as "democracy" or "freedom" prompted an error message from the site: "This item contains forbidden speech... Please delete the forbidden speech from this item." Other phrases banned included the Chinese for "demonstration", "democratic movement" and "Taiwan independence..." Yeah right, man... That's a typo... Orwell is here now... He's livin' large... We have no names, man. No names... We are nameless!

WB Attempts to Prevent Piracy

Last week, the Warner Brothers film studio released the DVD "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" in China on the same day it debuted in U.S. theaters... The company is testing whether a quickly released, studio quality DVD's, will be any help in stemming pirate copies from popping up over there... They claim these illegal competitive products cost them 3.5 billion a year in lost revenues...
I guess my only question is why the fuck are they trying this with the movie "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"... If i were to pirate any movie EVER, the LAST movie on my list would be Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants... I expected more from a company that owns such great programming on "The WB"...

In a very depressing move, Hollywood decided to cast - man in drag - Jessica Simpson for the part of extremely retro hot Daisy Duke in the upcoming movie The Dukes of Hazzard... I for one would die a happy death if her name never passed by my ears ever again... To try and keep it close to the original show, they kept her hair blonde like the orig... wait.... Daisy Duke was a brunette... At least they casted some decent people for Bo and Luke - Phil Clapp (Johnny Knoxville) and Sean William Scott (idiot for hire)... The only way they could have made this movie any trendier is to have Jessica S. sing some retro song and make it her own, like 'These Boots Are Made For Walking'... I wonder why they didn't decide to cast 50 Cent for Boss Hogg, or Christopher Ashton Kutcher for Uncle Jesse's part... Fuckin pathetic...
